Working in cold weather requires taking precautions to prevent cold-related illnesses, injuries, or death. Key strategies include wearing appropriate clothing, being aware of the symptoms of cold related injuries, first aid, and seeking medical attention. It’s also important to monitor yourself and your coworkers for signs of cold illness and injuries.

In support of a stronger culture of safety at UAF, the EHSRM team is rolling out updates to better streamline operations, including Safety Data Sheet (SDS) inventories. Updates will be in phases, the first of which will begin on November 13.
