Seattle University School of Law
Through UAF’s 3+3 partnership with Seattle University School of Law, you can launch your legal career faster by completing your bachelor’s and law degree in just six years—combining academic rigor with hands-on training in the heart of Seattle.
Seattle University School of Law is nationally recognized for its commitment to academic
excellence, diversity, and social justice, offering students an education grounded
in practical skills and ethical leadership. Located in Seattle, a thriving hub for
law, business, and public service, Seattle U Law provides access to a wide range of
legal specialties, externships, and networking opportunities in one of the nation’s
most vibrant professional markets. Students benefit from small class sizes, a supportive
faculty, and strong connections to the Pacific Northwest legal community.
The UAF / Seattle U Law 3+3 Program creates an accelerated pathway for UAF students to earn both their undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor (J.D.) in six years—three years at UAF followed by three years at Seattle U Law. First-year law school credits apply toward the completion of the undergraduate degree, reducing both time and tuition. Students in the program receive priority consideration for admission to Seattle U Law, streamlining the route from classroom to courtroom.
To participate, students must complete at least 90 undergraduate semester hours by the end of their third year at UAF, meet academic requirements, and apply to Seattle U Law during their junior year. Applicants who meet or exceed Seattle U Law’s GPA and LSAT (or GRE) medians receive priority consideration for admission. Once admitted, students transition to law school tuition and financial aid structures. The program provides an efficient, cost-effective, and immersive legal education experience—ideal for those eager to make an impact in the legal profession.
