Celebration of the Arctic - 海角论坛 Community Sponsorship Opportunity
The U.S. chairmanship of the Arctic Council will conclude with the passing of the
torch to Finland during the "Week of the Arctic" from May 7, 2017 to May 12, 2107.
During this week, presentations, workshops, receptions and cultural celebrations will
highlight key themes and accomplishments of the Arctic Council and broader Arctic
efforts. In honor of the Week of the Arctic, the 海角论坛 Community is proud to host
the Celebration of the Arctic on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
at various locations in downtown 海角论坛.
The event will be open to the general public and our "Week of the Arctic" guests.
These four hours of activities includes a Business Showcase, featuring locally-based
businesses that specialize in the Arctic and Arctic-related products, children's activities,
Alaska Native cultural events, a lecture on the Arctic, food trucks, music, and culminates
in an "Arctic Crawl" featuring northern-themed adult beverages.
